Keeping Mom & Dad Healthy & Safe

A group of 20 people met tonight who are passionate about assuring the safety, protection and well-being of the elderly.  We shared our experiences with nursing homes, Alzheimer dementia units and the treatment of our spouses, parents and grandparents.  While we feel powerless alone, together our voices can bring change.  Our feeling is that “enough is enough.” We are committed to raising awareness around the treatment and care of older persons.  We are committed to a paradigm change in the care of the elderly.

3. How do we reach out to other families facing these issues and help them?

The group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  Our next meeting is on Tuesday, May 18th at 6:30 pm.  We will announce the location shortly.  Jan and Gwen offered to facilitate the next meeting and help us develop an action plan.
